The majority of the burgers I eat from restaurants or fast food places are made from ground beef, but every now and then when I make a homemade burger, I use Ground Turkey. Now how I cook my burger is not the right or the wrong way, its just me cooking a burger on a whim and there is no particular recipe. For my burger lovers and if you are interested or you just enjoy eating turkey burgers then read on…
Here’s what I used to make these yummy Turkey Burgers :
– A pack of Ground Turkey ( the one I used is 1.25 lbs. )
– One Bell Pepper ( diced)
– One Yellow or White Onion ( diced)
– An egg
-Seasoning of you choice: I used Lawry’s Seasoning, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, and Black Pepper.
-Hamburger Buns.
Next Up Are the simple directions for these burgers:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl mix in the bell peppers and onions with the ground turkey, then add the egg (which holds the patty together).
Then add in your choice of seasonings.
Gather a ball of the mixed ground turkey and pat down to form a patty. (I made four patties out of the pack I bought)
On a baking pan, spray cooking spray and place patties on the pan; and add some water to pan, place in oven and let cook for 25-30 mins.
After the burgers are done, place the patty on a bun, put on a slice of cheese (if you’d like) and load your favorite burger toppings and if you are like me add some fries, a pickle spear, and enjoy !
