Review By Me
Hi everyone, welcome back to Flamingo Lifestyle, today’s movie review is on Dark Phoenix; I’m a fan of the X-Men movie series, and while Jean Grey isn’t my favorite of the X-Men, she’s critical to the team. Alright let’s get into the review. While many of the characters we’ve seen in this film were in the previous X-Men films, there were a few new characters introduced in this film. The acting in Dark Phoenix was great (that’s one of the main aspects movie goers look at right ?); More specifically highlighting James McAvoy and Sophie Turner’s performances as a young Professor X and Jean Grey. I really like James McAvoy as Professor X, he embodies him so well; I understand his need to keep the peace between them and the humans, but I feel like they do not have to risk their lives to blend in or to fit in, but I’m all for them helping to save lives. In this film Jean Grey, after an incident in space, leaves her with a stronger power, it kind of makes her out to be the bad guy after becoming the Phoenix; But as Scott and Professor X kept mentioning, that wasn’t the Jean they know, which they were right. Everyone did a great job portraying their characters and I always love when Peter (Quicksilver) moves fast, and we get to see his scenes in slow mo. (great scenes). This movie didn’t have a ton of action, but I didn’t think it was a big deal. And I do feel like this movie could have been handled a little better, as in the fluidity of the movie, but it was not terrible, as you may have read in many of the reviews. Although Dark Phoenix isn’t one of my favorites of the X-Men films, I still think all fans should check it out. What do you think of the film ? Have you seen it ? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading !
